I'm still recovering from a craptacular weekend, and the Dow Jones takes a 500-point knee to the balls. Yeah, that's about how I feel. But picspam eases the pain, yes. 27 pics below.... )
I think I'm getting allergic to diphenhydramine. I mean, I hope and pray that's why I couldn't sleep at all last night. I've been taking it for (checking watch) a long, long time now, so it wouldn't surprise me. Still, aside from incessant itching and being able to spell "diphenhydramine" without looking it up, no adverse effects. Well, itching-induced insomnia, so there we are at square one again.

Still not as bad as Sunday. Eh. Give it time.

On a lighter note.... 64 pics below.... )
Today blew and it blew hard. It's not good when the Bolts blowing a playoff game isn't the worst thing to happen today. On the upside: snow. Pleasant, if slightly annoying. Eh. Maybe this'll clear some of the taint of the day. 38 damn pics below.... )
Picspam eases the pain. And this first guy perfectly illustrates how I feel today. 47 pics below.... )
So I slammed the car door shut on that little hockey-puck-thing on the seat belt that keeps the buckle from sliding all the way down the belt, broke the puck in half, now to latch I have to reach down instead of up. Just enough of a change in the routine that when I was fishing around for it and pulling it, somehow the belt caught a hangnail on my thumb and ripped it clean off. (The hangnail. Not the thumb. I wouldn't be typing. I'd still be screaming until medicating myself into incoherence -- not to say that's off the agenda totally anyway.)

So yay for self-inflicted idiot injuries. My colleague has a new hip and is undoubtedly complaining less. Eh. It's what I do. That, and picspams. Segue! 86 pics below.... )
To celebrate the resurrection of the NFL career of a former colleague's ex-boyfriend, a tremendously huge picspam. (This is too big, isn't it? If so, sorry. What's your picspam threshold? Yes, I care. It's one of the few things I care about today, in fact. If I were going to start drinking, today's the day.)

Also in the long-range-field-goal category, Larry Bird (PBUH) turns 50 today. Good birthday company, [livejournal.com profile] querldox -- I'd expect nothing less.

Anyway. 85 pics below.... )
Today just feels cosmically out-of-tune. Granted, my heart's been all askew the last few days, and this morning I'm quite dizzy and more than a little fatigued. Of course this would happen on 4/20, so I'm sure people are getting the wrong impression. But no, just coincidentally ill. Elvis is dead, Sinatra is dead, and me I feel also not so good.

The good news is tonight is kickin' it with [livejournal.com profile] erica_roo in celebration of her impending birfday. w00ts.

Two awesome words for you today: crepuscular and vespertine.

So. Very. Tired....

...rendered visually here. God bless you, [livejournal.com profile] photo_squirrel.

In the choice between pain and illness, yesterday I chose pain. Today I take the meds and choose illness. At least it's different. Meh.

Also, the question you've always wondered but never asked: "Does Cleveland Police Logo Contain Image Of Pig?" There are a few groups of law enforcers I wouldn't deem worthy of pig-ness.

Also, how an eggplant looking like Geddy Lee starts the Rush Riots of '06. Snicker.
I vote we skip the rest of the playoffs and just jump to training camp. Right now.

Also, LJ, feel free to wake your servers the hell back up.

I am nearing a point of cognitive disconnect. I'm so angry and upset over the stories and images pouring out of the bayou that I'm just going to turn off that part of my brain for a while. Imagine my delight when I found this:

Television Without Pity » House: "Three Stories"

So, here it is. The House episode I've been hearing about since I started recapping this show, lo those many months ago; the Emmy-nominated script featuring Carmen Electra as herself; the episode that's supposed to be the best of the season, possibly one of the best in television history, and, of course, one of the hardest to recap. Should be fun.
