Gilliam's one of my favorite filmmakers -- I actually appreciate his failures more than I do most people's successes. He's ambitious and has a distinct vision and I wish I could say that about most Hollywood efforts.

Hoffman's Capote was perfect, agreed -- though if you haven't seen Neil Simon's Murder By Death you really really should. Truman Capote, Peter Sellers, Alec Guinness, Peter Falk, David Niven, Maggie Smith, James Cromwell...it's fantastic. Stupid silly fun, but no less fantastic for it. More than a bit un-PC, but it makes me smile just thinking about it. "Answer simple, but question very hard."
