State of disarray

Guess how many drivers in Tennessee have more than five DUIs.

Did you say 10,000? Try 13,434. And 150 have more than 12 convictions.

On a related note, I love how all TV websites have the same flag: three to five anchors smiling. There's cliche, and then there's beyond cliche.

More than FIVE???

Eeek. I have relatives in Tennessee. I'm willing to bet that none of them have DUIs, but I fear for their safety now.

Remind me never to drive through that state. Ever. In fact, why don't we just move Tennessee somewhere else to make travel easier and safer? Let's put it below Texas, where it will not be so much in the way and it will have the added benefit of protecting a border by way of being more risky to cross.

According to 2000 population figures, that would be about 1 in 500 people or one every 3.75 miles on average. Luckily, they're not all driving all time. ;-)
