Oh, and the 2006 picspam tally? Six thousand, six hundred and seventy. That almost got scary for a minute. And it's about twice what I expected. (And there's still the possibility that I counted wrong; if anyone with even less of a life than me wants to go back and do their own count, hey, be my guest.) begstodiffer was the closest, only 1530 over -- if you're going by Price is Right rules, aardy1 was closest without going over at 2574 and gets extra props for going the whole power-of-two route. missmiah gets a special award for her guess of 666 -- thematically apropos and almost a perfect order of magnitude off.

Still, glad that's behind us. Math is hard.

Cowher out in Pittsburgh

Bill Cowher, one year removed from a Super Bowl win, quits as Steelers coach. Pittsburgh begins looking for a coach for the second time since 1969. That's impressive. Condolences to darksidebluezz and any other Steeler fans on my f-list.
