K-State's Ron Prince resigns. Huh. Curious timing. Still, am not seeing it anywhere else on the blogosphere or the cookie cutter media yet....

I admit I'm neither surprised nor particularly moved by the decision. Wonder what Phil Bennett's up to...?

And if the Star has it, it should be propagating. Strange.

It was simply announced by Krause that he would not be returning next season. I just got the press release from sports info.

I'm guessing we could parse semantics, but the idea that this move started in Ron Prince's mind is highly unlikely. It gives the school a chance to start scouting potential replacements during the season -- I don't think a coach pulls this on a team without an escape plan.
