Niko Bellic: sorceror

Because you demanded it did not actually try to stop me from doing it:

In addition to a slightly tweaked handling.cfg file that retains only the brittle, lightweight cop cars and the dwarf-star rocket-powered taxis (not the negative-friction vehicles because I'd actually been trying to play missions and that's somewhat difficult with cars and trucks tumbling out of the sky and onto your head), I've been toying with the Simple Trainer and its myriad effects, including:

-- God mode (more or less a prerequisite for most of what you see here)
-- Summon vehicles, either specifically or randomly, even while plummeting out of the sky
-- Turn off gravity (doesn't affect vehicles, just pedestrians and objects and debris)
-- Hyper-acceleration -- no, seriously, hyper-acceleration
-- Spawn pedestrians (as observed while atop the Statue of Happiness)
-- 'grab car,' which seems to render me lifeless until I turn into a ragdoll flying across the map

..And those're just the ones I know how to use. The "Simple" Trainer comes with a pretty substantial Word doc of instructions and three full pages of shortcuts. It's extremely versatile and full of potential mayhem just waiting to be unlocked.

Oh, and I also installed a new Volkswagen Beetle, which you'll see in a few places. They're cute, but it's hard to be seen driving one.

Okay I laughed my ass off when you sat there waiting for the cop car and then hyper-accelerated into it. That was a moment of beauty.

I looooove abusing the papier-maché cop cars. I love it even more when they accidentally immolate themselves trying to apprehend me.

Is it the combination of speed and invulnerability that makes you roll for blocks and blocks? I love that you still splatter when you land, and then just jump up and brush it off.

Yeah, God mode prevents Niko from getting incapacitated or incinerated, but the cars' simply insane acceleration (I haven't had the speedometer turned on lately, but I think it's something like 0-150 mph in under a second) lets him fly/skip/slide for a good length.

Funny thing: I found out the acceleration effect also works on bikes and boats; flew over half the map in a boat.

I said it on the video proper, but this is the best one yet.

And why is it that all your forays into gaming - that you share here, anyways - are always hilarious?

Heh, you only say this because you haven't had to sit through me playing Sims 3 for eleventy million hours. Or Mass Effect 2. Or the last eight seasons of NCAA Football 11. I need to start pouring out my gaming more profitably. Or creatively.

And danke for the kudos. Hope all's well up northward.
