Sims 3: a snippet

So, Sims 3. It's enticing and vexing, encouraging and demoralizing, two steps forward, one step back. I don't think you're going to see a more insightful and accurate review than Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation review, as he does hit the high points. I've a bit of divergence in that I don't think it's quite as grindy or mundane as real life, but it's certainly less escapist than Sims 2, and that's not good.

Let me just breeze over the high notes right quick, in pictoral form, below the cut. Dude, long post is LONG, and filled with images, 70 of them, and BIG suckers, I'm warnin' ya.... )

SimBatman: Making a run for the border

Every once in a while the game surprises me. This time it just about knocked me off my feet. You will believe a man can waterslide.... )

SimBatman: the skeptical butler and Mandalorian poke-fights

Oh. *petrified stare* Hello. I didn't anticipate anyone else being nearly as amused by all this as I was. But hey, welcome aboard. The Legion of Doom plots and annoys its neighbors. 50 pics below. )

Bob Kane forgive me

I totally didn't set out with the intention of doing this today. It just...happened, that's all. I'd installed Apartment Life and wanted to play around with non-established families in my 'hood, and I started perusing my custom content and...well, here we go.

Moar follows.... )

I are Sims Sig. This are Sims thread.

It's just such a relief to work on a computer and not have to worry about Parallels, Exchange Server, or Remote Desktop. So I've been unwinding by playing the Sims, and specifically in recreating two families: The Utonium family and the Mythbusters family. Sadly, no pics yet. )
