Let's see -- which was worse?

1. The Chargers snatching victory from the jaws of defeat then giving up the game anyway?

2. Rediscovering that they don't believe it when I tell them I have a superhuman resistance to novocaine even though we've done this before and when they say "You're not feeling that, are you?" and I can only gargle out a yell because I can feel the needle and the meds trickling out of the tissue....

3. The scraping. Oh, the steel-on-flesh-and-bone scraping sound.

4. The idea that it's going to take 45 minutes to fill a prescription for the least-effective pain medication in the world.

5. The stitches that have left a little flap dangling and tickling both the roof of my mouth and my tongue.

Even if you condensed numbers 2-5 into one, I'd still have to say #1. God, that was awful. Psychic agony, granted, but it will last longer. It's just that the physical pain is a little more immediate. (And yes, Bee, you were right, it was good to have a ride home. I was in no condition to undertake that myself. I shall celebrate by trying to nap.)

I hope both pscyhic and physical agonies go away soon!

That's it. I'm gettin' a ride home from someone else. You STAY IN BED!

OWWWW! I'm SO sorry I couldn't be there for you. :-(

I can still come get you. I have my watch set. I still need to pick up the pain meds from Dillon's if they ever get around to filling them, but they said 45 minutes, and that's time I best spend prone.
