I would do the 10-things meme, except...I dunno. Most of the things I've done that'd make the list involve other people in circumstances I doubt they'd want me to repeat said information. And they border on the...insane. Those that involve just me, well, they just seem too much like bragging. And they don't provide much insight, I don't think. I think I'm who I am despite my circumstances instead of because of them. But that's certainly debatable. Plus I think that part of my life -- the mad, furious, 250-bpm gunpowder and leather days -- is finally over, not that that's bad. In retrospect they were amusing and kinetic and certainly interesting. But at the time, I didn't know they were ever going to end. My fondness for that time is purely retrospective. I don't think I could survive those days now. Don't think I'd want to.

Been a bizarre day online. Contributed my first entry for metaquotes. which spurred an icon-making onslaught which got propagated to userpics here, and one of my icons similarly got userpicked here. Quite the Thursday. Sent off two applications with a roll of the eyes. Hell, I'd just like to get a call back from someone this time out.

The birds are blissful. At last check they were all asleep or nearly so, keeping close eyes on each other. The usual morning squawking sessions has been replaced with idyllic chirps and Tiny's abortive attempts at Beethoven. He's trying, and that's just hilarious.

Wow. I'm still awake. I guess I have accomplished something today. Mark your calendars.
