Makeup was the breaking point; who knew?

Wonkette's hilarious take on the media meltdown du jour: Bob Novak apparently just walked off the CNN stage, yelling "This is bullshit!"

Drudge's account says that it's because host Ed Henry was going to ask about the Plame investigation, but emailers say the current topic was -- of all things -- Katherine Harris's make-up: Novak, while addressing Katherine Harris' "makeup-gate", became visably upset at interuptions from Carville, said "This is bullshit" and then stormed off of the stage of CNN's "Inside Politics".

Well, you know, that's a sensitive issue for him. It takes a lot of make-up to cover the scales. (Bob Novak's image problems come from people Photoshopping him? Really? Not from the whole "ratting out my sources and shilling for the administration" thing? Really?)

UPDATE: We just saw the clip. It's here. "Bullshit" comes through loud and fucking clear, and it is actually definitely in reference to Carville yakking. Maybe the mere thought of being asked about the Plame thing got him rattled. Please note who hasn't wanted to tell Carville he's full of shit?

And he got suspended for it, too -- though I doubt he'll darken CNN's halls ever again.

Novak has scales?

As much as I despise pundits, I gotta side with Novak on this one. He gets halfway into a thought and Carville starts walking on him like they were on Crossfire or something (isn't that why they cancelled that show?). Then when he asks Carville to let him finish, he starts making fun of him. Fuck you James. I know the wife only lets you take out the ball gag every once in a while, but show some courtesy.

And, not to be partisan (because I'm not), but Carville is the one who looks like he crawled out of the black lagoon. He and Cher must have the same plastic surgeon.
