Today's my weekend. I go back to work tomorrow. So today should be a day off, a day when I can sit back and enjoy playing MVP Baseball 2004 -- and considering I finally won a dynasty season with the KC Royals (!), I was doing exactly that (see, Steinbrenner, someone else can exploit the lack-of-salary-cap and send the pinstriped horde packing in the divisional series, you filthy cur). And tomorrow is Unreal Tournament 2004 day. So I'm pretty stoked.
But -- there's always a but, isn't there? -- my sister threatened (okay, it wasn't a threat per se, but it's how I interpret it) to come down and see how her little e-commerce site is doing. Of course, work has instilled in me the sense of "if you don't badger me about it, I won't work on it," so I've not done a lick on it since the last time she was down. So instead of taking in hardball delights, I'm coding and creating new background images and making logos and making privacy policies and all that fun stuff.
(Okay, to be even more accurate, I'm not doing any of that right now because I'm updating my LJ, but I figured you'd realized that already.)
The upside, of course, is her bringing down my other sister's computer for my experimentation. Insert evil laughter here. I guess it's a worthwhile tradeoff. And it's best to do this today, because tomorrow -- after I get UT2K4 -- abso-frickin-lutely nothing is going to get done. I'm lucky I don't have a PC at work. The temptation would be too much. It's bad enough when I start playing Wrecker.
Okay. Back to the grindstone. For now.
