I actually made progress at work today. Got in an hour late due to a rather frightening morning, but some hard-core coding before lunch paid off. Good thing, because Quasiboss and Uberboss went...uhm, somewhere, so the rest of us -- including fresh meat Richard -- trucked off for some pizza and some quality time in the Dollar Store. Upon our return, we watched last night's "South Park" ("The Passion of the Jew" -- offensive and disturbing, just as you'd expect) and kept hammering at the Ski Stunt Simulator until yours truly could finally make it over "the wall."
So after lunch, not the most productive day on record. But definitely one of the better ones. Richard, at lunch: "I'm still trying to figure out how you guys work." Me: "Generally, we don't."
Which isn't true, really. Of the five major tasks I have left on this project, there's just two left, one filed under "impossibly hard" and one under "done but just not pretty yet." So I'm comfortable with that. This is one of the Good Days, which I'm sure will be paid for later during one of the Bad Days. So I'm enjoying it while I can.
And yes, the weather is beyond reproach today. Too bad I've been advised to stay out of sunlight. (::hisssss::)
