I love the fact that the change to the DST calculation algorithm has resulted in a dilemma potentially disruptive enough to earn the nomenclature Y2K7. Also mildly amusing: Windows XP SP2 units don't need patching; OS X 10.3 needs updates. Yay.

The Commodore Phoenix rises

I've neglected posting about this for too long: Commodore Gaming has announced it will launch a new breed of gaming PCs that will see the return of the legendary Commodore brand.

Commodore is a name which will bring memories flooding back to many a gamer and it's been announced that the legendary brand is to return with a new range of high specification gaming PCs.

I'm sorry, but without the beige, without the run-stop/restore combo, it's just not going to be the same. Though it will give rise to my icon becoming cold hard reality. (And YAY to the image which became said icon, though I believe I ganked it from tviokh, to begin with.)

Women's basketball stereotypes take one step forward

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Pokey Chatman resigned as the head women's basketball coach at Louisiana State University on Wednesday after the university became aware of an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship between Chatman and a former player on Chatman's team, sources told ESPN.com. The university, the sources said, learned of the relationship from an employee within the basketball program.
