A woman is in stable condition with bubonic plague, the first confirmed human case in Los Angeles County since 1984, health officials said Tuesday.

I hope she can sleep, at least. Also, obKentBrockman: "It's in Revelations, people!"

I tells you, we're just lucky we don't have any Asian marmots hereabouts, 'cause that's where you get the interesting plague from.

I only got to see about a minute of House, but it involved the injection of a needle into a bubo, so I am a rather disturbingly happy creature.

(But then I remember I'm on the Internet running IE 4.5 on Mac OS 8.6 and it all comes crashing back down.)
