Best part: Sir Ian McKellen. Of course. As in most movies he appears it, would've been better if he'd done it as a one-man show. I'd pay to see that.

Second best part: Audrey Tatou driving a Micro Machine. Seriously. "OMG! French police! Quick, turn sideways! They'll never find us!"

It wasn't horrible, but not as good as it could've been. Interesting premise, direction was a bit lackadaisical. But then, I didn't read the book. Hanks seemed to have the same damned expression on his face the whole time. Meh.

After watching the previews, though, it's certainly not the worst movie out there. No Halle Berry, for one.

*twitch*

It's bad enough that I feel obliged to see X3, despite the fact that ---- k--- --- ------s --- -----r to give (despoilered) Halle Berry a bigger role. Gah. Why would you do that? Have you not seen the other movies?

But there will be the Danger Room, the fastball special and Kitty Pryde. I can't not go.

Were the dozen or so protestors and their bored kids still outside the theater? When I left Over the Hedge around 5:30, they were standing there with their signs in the 100 degree heat.

Protestors? Dunno. There were people handing out leaflets, but didn't take any. Just thought it was pretty sad.

Just glad I got tickets ahead of time, as it was selling out like mad.
