Via BoingBoing: Unfortunately, this is not a joke...and this is not an old video. Appalachian State University put out this video last year and it instantly became a viral hit amongst the educational community. It's probably THE worst educational recruitment video ever and possibly one of the worst songs ever recorded. From the production values to the obsessive use of the same transition to the incredibly lame imagery used in the video, this one takes the cake on almost every level. It's so bad that it's destined to become a classic.
I'm not feeling well at the moment, so I don't think I'll brave it yet. But I'll add it to my favorites and soak in the glory later.

My cousin did a better job with a Sting soundtrack and three minutes of ER clips, including putting some in black and white during the instrumental part.
I didn't know you could still find 1970'-style Christian vocal groups out there who are willing to do soundtracks for educational purposes.
At 1:30 I wanted to claw out my eyeballs. Unfortunately, they were still there when the clip ended 45 long seconds later.
ONE MINUTE, people. ONE. If it's good, people will replay it or ask for more. If it sucks, then people aren't sitting there dying of the badness for another minute-fifteen...

There are 16 schools in the University of North Carolina system. Offhand, I'm pretty sure Appalachian is at best 12th ranked out them.
