Play ball

Have been bitten by the baseball bug. I attribute this not to the over-medicated swelling meatbag on the left coast breaking an arbitrary record (and I kinda wish Mark McGwire was still around to vilify in equilibrium), but to watching both the baseball episode of WKRP (see icon) and the "Baseball Myths" episode of MythBusters back to back, accidentally. Broke out my MVP Baseball 2005 and played it for the first time in ages, found it relaxing and enjoyable (and no Barry Bonds!). Pleasant afternoon was had alternating that with Fable and ignoring the freelancing project I need to have done soon soon soon. Gulp.

Still feel like I've been punched in the face by God. Not going to work for a while. The lights are bright and the A/C still broken, so home is really the best place for me. If I go in, I'll get cranky, and that doesn't help anyone. And there's that project thing, which provides moneys.

Also, the Chargers' new unis are growing on me. New Madden out this week. Gulp again.

Gotta disagree on the Chargers new uni's. They're not terrible, but I thought their old navy blue ones (with the blue helmets) were one of the top 5 uni's in the league, so this just seems like a downgrade. I'm a fan of having home jerseys match the helmets, I think that look works really well. (i.e. Chiefs, Steelers, Broncos.)

but to each his own!
