If you missed Battlestar Galactica: Razor -- or worse, you skipped the commercials -- you missed one of the great moments in advertising history. Link to YouTube video with spoilers for one of the show's, er, relationships between two now-dead characters.
Almost makes you miss the Spongmonkeys, doesn't it?

That would make me miss the Spongmonkeys.

From what I remember, Gina's suicide came on the heels of the destruction of a resurrection ship, which meant Gina was too far away from an available ship to be downloaded. Which is okay; I think Gina'd been through enough that even reliving it vicariously post-download seemed to be too much.

I saw this lampooned in Shortpacked, laughed, and thought, "Wait...that has to be a joke, right? But, it has to be based on something. Oh gods, I fear..."
Thanks for confirming the reality of it. I think.

I thought they were just *joking* when they talked about the "brought to you by" part, like the usual sort of ad was following the promo. Not that it was literally HOT LESBIAN LOVERS BROUGHT TO YOU BY: MMMMM TOASTY.

But watching BSG is a perfectly wond'rous way to spend your time. And it's not like S4 is going to come out anytime soon (seriously, MARCH?), so you're still on pace. Relatively.
And if you're where I think you are, you're in that lull between apocalypses, which is an adequate place to linger. (And Razor actually takes place before New Caprica, so you could watch it spoiler-free, I think. Worth it for much more than the mmm mmm mmm mmm toasty bits, I promise.)
