Ramblings of a colorblind gamer.

Again, I don't mean to complain -- I just wanna let you know what it's like for the colorblind gamers out there. It's not terribly difficult, being colorblind, just a bit different; I know more than a few of the Dtoiders out there are colorblind (Ceark is like, eighty times more colorblind than I am but bitches about it way, way less), and I figured it might be interesting for you sight-unimpaired people to take a look at our world for a little while.

Then again, maybe it wasn't interesting at all and this reads more like a gussied-up LiveJournal post than a legitimate article. Either way, it isn't my fault.

Hell, I'm just glad to hear more games are getting colorblind mode. I thought it was just Alpha Centauri.

a long time ago in a galaxy far far away... *ahem* when i work in IT...

me and two of the guys were over in the campus community center. they were fancying up the basement so student would actually want to BE over there. so we were on a mission to wire the basement for internet. i knew penny (his last name, just so that doesn't seem to odd) was climbing through the icky tunnels and walls and stuff doing that part, i was cutting and splittling the wires, and putting the jacks together, and i honestly wasn't sure where drew had gotten off to.

penny and i worked later than drew, so by the time we were using the fluke to test the jacks, drew was gone. and penny was pissed off because half the jacks didnt' work.

finally penny says in disgust "why do all of YOUR jacks work, and none of drews do AT ALL?!?!"

"you do know that drew is color blind, right?"

note to everyone... don't let the colorblind do your wiring ;P
