I was wondering, with all the animated superstitial ads that the cable networks throw on during their programming, ruining the bottom-third of the screen for a good length of time, at what point they'd actually cross the line. If they haven't yet, they have now.

I don't blame anyone who wants to torrent the actual shows instead of these ad-obscured broadcasts anymore (if I ever did). They claim that PVR users are thieves, but they corrupt the programming to serve additional, relentless advertising. I got'cher social contract right here.

Ah, but by destroying sections of the screen during initial broadcasts, they'll boost DVD sales! "Now, for the first time! See your shows without our annoying logo bugs, text ads and other interruptions! Just like it used to be!"
