I credit querldox for pointing out that one of the WKRP episodes was titled "The Doctor's Daughter" and that Fever/Bailey would be a good Doctor/companion dynamic. And who's to say the TARDIS can't be a booth...?
Even though I knew it couldn't last, this news still makes me sad. Its not like Tennant is dying or anything. When Chris Eccleston left the show I wasn't confident either, but that turned out well. Just have to remain positive.
Well, I certainly can't blame the man - he's leaving on a high note, and that's probably the best possible reason. Cripes, David Tennant actually turned the Doctor into a sex symbol. I just recently watched "The Doctor's Daughter" back-to-back with one of the later Sylvester McCoy episodes, from just before the original show was canceled. It boggles the mind.
When I first heard about the show returning c. 2003, I thought Alan Davies would be perfect for the role. Now, Tennant has gone and made it 67816271862519768210976 times cooler, and Johnathan Creek just won't fit the mold anymore.
I suppose I could see Liam Neeson stepping out of the police box...
