Picspam, pre-spontaneous-vacation edition

One of the perks of my position is a surfeit of vacation time, which I should take...at some point. So after seeing the forecast for tomorrow and Thursday (which can best be summarized as WINTRY DOOM -- tonight's low of 39° is tomorrow's high), I decided it'd be good to take a few days, relax, watch the snow fall with the kids.

This just in: Kansas Outlaws Practice Of Evolution. Although the full impact of the new law will likely not be felt for approximately 10 million years, most Kansans say they are relieved that the ban went into effect this week, claiming that evolution may have gone too far already.

As for tonight's picspam, well, I know I'm going to the well of cats and squirrels and image macros a bit too often, I'm sorry. I have my weaknesses. That said,

Sadly for Kansas, I clicked on that evolution link expecting it to be real. Was happy to see it was an Onion piece.

Sadly, as a 9 month employee, I don't get vacation days to spend. And I'm too responsible to call in sick (besides, as a teacher, it has a bit more impact if I don't show up).
