Contractor Bulldozes Wrong Home

A family in Punta Gorda, Fla., who had just repaired and painted their hurricane-damaged home returned to find the structure mistakenly demolished and removed from its lot.

Now that's mildly terrifying. Also: TV website cliche alert.

That's horrible! That poor family! :-( I can't even begin to imagine what that would be like.

Holy cow!!! That's one heck of a mistake... sounds like a former co-worker of mine was in charge of that project... Well you know what they say, "We all make mistakes..." ;-) Poor family!!!!

And this is why we need to fight against tort reform. I realize they're usually talking about medical issues when they use that phrase, but doctors can screw up this badly too. And how do you make up for doing something like that?

Why should we fight against tort reform based on this? Something this obvious would still find a case. Tort reform wouldn't stop all lawsuits, but help stop the shakedown artists using bogus claims, seances to channel dead babies, etc.

I'm ready to come back there, hunt down and skin alive whomever did that. (KAdams told me about it.) I used to teach for a similar group, so I knew of Serenata, but never had been there or worked there. People really suck sometimes....
