I downloaded the first season of Torchwood a while back, and man. It's kind of awful. I gave it a few episodes (7 or 8?) in hopes that it would improve, but it's marketed as a Doctor Who 'for adults' and thus has a lot of swearing and gratuitous sex that does little to add to the lame plots, 100% unlikable characters (except for Captain Jack, who is woefully underutilized), and isn't as much fun. There was one fun episode called "Random Shoes" that I liked, but the rest were too much like an oversexed, melodramatic version of the farting alien episodes of Who for my taste.
