Note: this is so pre-alpha it's right back around again to being omega. Consider it not even a work in progress, but more like a half-completed thought that someone didn't quite get around to finishing before walking away. Hopefully that doesn't end up being the case, but....

...Cinema Verite, the spiritual successor to Sim Cinema Deluxe, hopefully, at some point.  Except it's online.  And will have a few bonus features the original didn't.  Basically it's an excuse for me to polish up on my PHP, MySQL and jQuery all at the same time.

Helps if you're familiar with SCD as that's the effect/experience I'm mostly aiming for.  Dunno if it still works in Classic Mode; I know it works under 9.x with SheepShaver, though, and is worth the installation hassle just to play again.

Known issues with CV so far:

-- It's too damn easy (studios are too gracious, the box office is too forgiving)
-- The director "I will take this project or not" logic is garbled and the dialog will occasionally reflect that
-- Game balance (advertising has a minimal effect)
-- You can go out-of-budget without repercussions (still a necessary evil while testing)
-- You may encounter debugging text intermittently
-- You don't need to log in or anything, but I'm too lazy to change that right now

Feel free to add more ideas/issues/WTFery.  This is what I keep finding myself doing when I should be having fun.

ETA moar issues as they occur to me:

-- Production values are insanely low, as low as thousands of dollars a week. Hence my earlier post. Am thinking that using a factor of the film budget -- anywhere from one to two percent a week -- would work best.
