The weather map was circulating because, somehow, Maine was the hottest state among the lower 48 the other day. Not often that happens. And, almost-relatedly, while my beloved SquirrelCam has apparently been taken down, it's been replaced with a BearCam; the resultant image was the first thing I saw on it. And I'm kinda fond of birdies. (Not overtly hysterical or poignant, I know, but...eh, it was a slow interim.)

I don't know where else to say this, but Oakland is getting squershed, the Vikings are up late on the Tebows, and the Chefs have held the Bears to three points in the fourth quarter.

Wait, what?

Oh, and because of picspam, every time I pass by the emergency exit in the ER, upon which a sign says "Door is Alarmed" -- I find myself wanting to add a note saying "What startled it?"

All the headlines I'm seeing are about how Tebow engineered another late-game comeback against the Vikings and I'm thinking, oh, okay, I didn't realize it was Tebow who picked off Christian Ponder and returned it to the 15-yard-line. Gods, people, there are 52 other people on the Denver football team; do you know any of their names?

As for the rest of the NFL, tonight's just a glitch-in-the-Matrix night. I flipped to the KC game just in time for the legendary pairing of Palko-to-McCluster via Urlacher to end the first half and that was an ugly, glorious thing to behold.

Also, Jordy Nelson is a monster. An absolute monster.
