It wasn't annoying or bad, to me, but neither was it very good. It was ending with a whimper, which I guess is thematically appropriate, but the issue itself was unsatisfying. I enjoyed the series as a whole -- I think, though I'll have to retrace my steps just to make sure -- as it had plenty of character moments and enough history that I found myself at home. Though I canna wait to see [livejournal.com profile] querldox's take on it.

On the flip side, I did read "Avengers Disassembled," and as someone who's never had much love of the Avengers, I didn't hate it. I thought it was contrived in parts, occasionally far too convenient -- it struck me as bad ideas being executed interestingly. I really bought the characters, I guess, but the plot -- gah. Though I don't see myself glancing through Not Avengers (snort) anytime soon....
