First and foremost: hippo birdies to solaine, who I've seen, but who never saw me. Such is my existence; subtle and insubstantial. She is since no longer tied to Manhappiness, but is no less awesome as a result.

True story of the thematic opposite: I once wrote a column on Groundhog Day and my personal affection for this awesomely pointless holiday. This actually prompted a girl on campus (whom I'd never met) to send me a stuffed hedgehog. Closest she could get to a groundhog, she said. Hrm. Anyway. ( 46 pics below. )
