Well, our team's now 2-1 in trivia contests. But we're lucky we even got a seat. Place was full when we got there, and there was a team at each of the 24 tables (table 4 forgot to show, so we got their previously-reserved table). We guessed our final score would be 81 points -- and it was. Sadly, one table got 84, so we had to settle for gift certificates for food and pens instead of the different (but same value) gift certificates and pens we would've won. Two firsts and a second. Adequate, I guess. Next one in April. Bring it.
Brilliant moments: math trivia (9/10, mistook "dodecahedron" and "isocahedron"), fashion (10/10!), Oscars (perfect, but with Dave on the team, we expected that). Flags of the world dealt us a painful blow (Greece, Nepal, Hong Kong -- but I got Kenya! Boo-yah!).
Best moment was trying to write "English Patient" and Aaron misinterpreted it as "Engrish Patient." There's a movie I'd pay to see. I might be able to stay awake through that one.
And the young women running the event couldn't figure out how to make Homestar Runner trivia questions. I'm glad we baffled them. It's what we do.
