I was going to say that the only drama I was watching anymore was "Angel," but I'm really going to have to rethink that. Leaked plots for the next four episodes had me pretty much firmly there. It's the fifth that has me backing away again.
Let's break it down.
11: New slayer appears, hacks off Spike's hands. Andrew returns. Check, points off for Spike-maiming.
12: Cordelia awakens, gets bit, leaves. Lindsay makes his move. Check, for clearing out old plots.
13: WWII flashbacks, vampires on subs, the Initiative(?!). Check, mainly for the Initiative(?!).
14: Angel gets turned into a puppet and ripped to shreds. Wes, Fred smooch. Check, check, check plus even.
15: Fred dies.
I'm inclined to hope -- hope hope hope -- that this all being preliminary info will lead to some "clarification" regarding Fred, since I still have empathy for her, and losing her would be a setback for the show's likeability in my eyes. Dunno how permanent or irrevocable this is going to be. But on first blush, I'm not encouraged.
