God, just when I was getting complacent about House, Fox looks to lobotomize its lineup yet again.

David Cross made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (hopefully he avoided drinking any of that magical champagne they serve in the dressing room) to promote Arrested Development. After he and Kimmel ticked off all of the awards the show has won, Cross revealed that he “found out on the internet” that production of the show had been shut down (here?).

I'm praying this is a misinterpretation of the scale-back of the second season for the animated atrocity American Dad.

And somehow this worries me more than the remaining bandmembers of Axis of Evil having nukes or Britain's secret program to breed the ugliest and most awful human beings ever seen. On the upside, Marcia Cross says she's not gay, but that's not much of an upside today. Gah.

The first time I read this, I had Marcia Cross and Marcia Clark mixed up in my head. Didn't click on the link, did briefly wonder a bit.

But then tonight I clicked past Desparate Housewives, and now I'm back on track.
