Looks like Sims 2 University isn't the only expansion coming out. Here's the back of the jewel case insert for said expansion, hawking a Fall 2005 release of Sims 2 Nightlife.

You know, I seem to recall some people being aggravated over Sims 2 because they figured that Maxis would just rerelease all the same expansions over again with the better 3d graphics. So, the first one had to be University, because hey, Sims 1 never had that, right? But Nightlife doesn't sound very far off from Hot Date, and frankly, I'd rather have pets or magic first. Actually, a mesh editor would be pretty damn cool.

Might this help? It's not official, but it appears to be workable. I'm not ambitious enough to give it a run. (More info here and here....)

Appreciate the thought. As of yet, I've contented myself with downloading new meshes others have created. Haven't even had the time to unzip them yet, though. I perhaps should have been more specific.
"An official Maxis Mesh Editor that doesn't involve 26 steps and 4 different programs would be pretty damn cool." Maybe if I get desperate to make a mesh for Kaylee's ballgown I'll go back to that site, though.

Are those fangs?

As in Goth chick vamp wanna-be fangs or as in Buffy "Hey baby, wanna donate a pint" fangs?

And I am totally jealous that you have University already. Of course, the real reason I don't have it is I didn't think the puppy's bladder could survive a twenty minute detour on the drive home so that I could stop at the mall.

I guess this is what I get for posting half-cocked. Those are fangs. Hrmmm.

I'm thinking that there's going to be a cross-blend of additions in the expansions -- for instance, University adds the ability to bring back Sims from the dead for a price, and if the price is inadequate, you get zombie!Sim. And there's the Cow Plant, which...uhm. Yeah. You can milk it. It can also eat you. Nine kinds of awesome. And a few enhancements -- including the option to switch your aspiration track at the end of your second year, which is a brilliant way to show the great college change-of-life....

But anyhow, there seems to be some cross-pollenation of content, so seeing (more) undead in Nightlife wouldn't surprise me. Fingers crossed.

I originally read "Cow Plant" to be along the lines of "Bovine University" but I just realized you meant er...Cow Houseplant. Either way, yeah, that's really funny. Must...resist...desire...to go...to...Electronics Boutique...
