From San Diego: JLU will be returning next season! After next week's Epilogue story it made some wonder. Next season will start off with Lex Luthor escaping from prison only to hook up with...(wait for it)... The Legion of Doom! Yes next season will focus a great deal on the Legion of Doom and they even come with their own updated Doom Headquarters!

What else is on the line up? One of the panelists said his favorite episode from next season will feature Stargirl. Paul Dinni said the Vixen, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl love triangle will get a whole lot more interesting when Hawkgirl meets a certain Carter Hall.

Note also that the LOD link may contain some Bruce Campbell.

Also: What kind of Bizarro universe are we living in such that Battlestar Galactica is this good?

This had damn sure better be the actual Legion of Doom. I want thirteen villains banded together from remote galaxies, dammit. I don't care if the Joker and Star Sapphire are better than Riddler and Scarecrow, I don't care if there's no logical way to work Brainiac and Bizarro into the team. I don't want Sinister Societies or Injustice Gangs, I want the Legion of Doom.

The way my luck's been going, they'll have John Heidenreich on there...

Well, they got the HQ looking pretty good. I think the lineup might be a bit more flexible from the olden days, but this show's been pretty spot-on lately.

Well, having been there, the story's accurate (save that Paul Dini (correct spelling)) wasn't on the panel. The shorthand is the villains realize that since the JL went unlimited, they should too. The final scene shown had the Legion of Doom HQ door opening to reveal around 50 outlines; the only ones we know for sure are in the LOD are Luthor, the Key, and Grodd.

Also there will be episode featuring the Seven Soldiers and the Legion of Super-Heroes.

and the Legion of Super-Heroes

Woot, woot, woot. And since my media-fu is apparently nil, what's the word on the LSH series? I've only heard mention of it in passing....

DVDs???

Any word on when/if these might come out on DVD? I only manage to catch them every now and then. Also, the 30 min format is just too short for these stories, so watching 3-4 episodes at a time would be nicer.

Re: DVDs???

No kidding. I've had to roll my own DVDs just for convenience (though a videotape would suffice, I guess) -- you're right, 30-minute eps really don't seem to do it justice (pun unintended), especially when the seasons have an overreaching arc, even one that spans seasons....

That said, this weekend's finale was great. Especially the Speed Force.

I hit the TV.com (formerly TVTome) JLU page and it gave me this page...but the info as to which episodes are included (only three per DVD? Fff, weak; I can fit eight onto a single-layer DVD) seems to be eluding me....
