The Best of Still Journalism 2005. Also, the best typical photog cutlines. You will find "intertube" instead of "inner tube," "hurst" instead of "hearse," and at least one mangling of "its" and its permutations. I'm not surprised -- it's been my experience that even professional photogs have a detachment and occasionally even hostile relationship with style and sometimes even the English language -- but I'm disappointed that a site showcasing the best in photography doesn't have someone editing for even basic style. (Scary possibility: they do, and all of this has been edited. Gulp.)

Still, no doubt in my mind that this is the most compelling photo and story in the bunch. Whoa. Though this one is cool and this one amuses me (ooo, this one too).

Edit: I got'cher brownie points right here. Hawt! )
Not only is there [livejournal.com profile] terrishiavo, but she's also got a Blogspot account.

And to make this worth your while, vague "Lost" finale spoilers. So who's not going to die? )
If you loved the Disfunctional Family Circus (I know, this is a pale imitation), you'll like [livejournal.com profile] namelessdread -- "Family Circus" as written by H.P. Lovecraft. (Edit: Never mind. It just got deleted by the creator as I posted. Wow. Can't say it outlived its time.)

Maybe I should get my resume updated so I could be an analyst at CTU. After they finish their current day, there should be plenty of openings. Good holy cow. If I were Dessler or even Tony or, by now, Oddrey, I'd start Tazering or kneecapping the whole lot of 'em.

Oh, and I thought I knew exactly what "Anderson's" plot was, until the very last scene. Because... spoilers, but only for tonight's episode, and some military technical nitpicking.... )
