From MetaFilter: the distinction between people who "loot" and people who "find" -- is it simply black and white? (Edit: okay, I feel better -- the AP pics call it "looting," AFP has apparently changed "borrowed" to "finding," leaving the awkwardness of the phrase "finding ... from" in its cutline.)

Hmmm, I see the point, but I gotta say one of the "finders" looks like she's a little ethnic to me... and the looter appeared to have a lot more stuff... but still, not right.

My gut tells me that whoever was writing the captions for these photos simply got tired of writing "loot" over and over. Although the coincidence that they should switch verbs on that particular photo is unfortunate.
