Peter David notes The Remarkable Prescience of West Wing

Every single place where, on the "West Wing," the Bartlet administration--an administration of conscience--zigs, Bush's administration zags. I just find that interesting. Includes specifics. I'd noticed the same thing, actually....

I enjoyed PAD's work with Hulk and especially X-Factor. I think I have a comic signed by him in my collection, from a Kansas City convention. He was funny in person as well.

Having gotten out of comics a long time ago, I hadn't heard anything about him in quite a while. A few months ago, I read a post at Wizbang (http://wizbangblog.com/archives/006612.php) discussing how much of a moonbat he is. I also found an earlier post (http://wizbangblog.com/archives/004935.php) that mentions PAD as well. This line from Wizbang sums up my thoughts as well, "I am a huge fan of Peter David's work, and will continue to keep buying his stuff. As long as he manages to keep his politics out of his writing, I'll keep his politics from interfering with my enjoyment of same.", except I haven't bought any of his stuff in a long time.

Like some of the commenters at Peter's site, I don't see where Bush is "ramrodding" Roberts down the nation's throat. There's a vacancy, Bush is President, he gets to choose a replacement.

Why is the left so eager to slaughter children in utero? They make up a right from a "prenumbra of an emanation" and now that is sacred. Mark Levin (http://www.nationalreview.com/levin/levin200503140754.asp) makes a good agrument that there is not a general right of privacy in the Constitution.

Of course President Bush zags were President Bartlet zigs, or more accurately President Bartlet zags were Bush zigs. The writers of the West Wing think Chimpy McBushitler is evil and Bartlet is what they see as the opposite; kind, caring, intelligent, etc. Therefore, it's not funny that Bush is 180 degrees from the West Wing, but expected.
