The top story in the Topeka Capital-Journal today: hissies over "CSI: Topeka" card (registration-free story here er, here?). Topeka's mayor says he's "offended." One, grow some skin, Bill. Two, you should be flattered that a city with typically one of the largest crime rates per capita is portrayed as "boring." Three, shut up.

Also in the paper: mindless tittering over Gilmore Girls using "BTK" as a verb (identical reg-free story here er, here?). Fft. Edit: dammit, Knight-Ridder, stop with the freakin' registration cookie-cutter websites, okay? Nobody's interested.

In more practical news, the Collegian might get a frat shut down. Nelson: "Ha-ha!"

Good for the Collegian.

Actually, I have mixed feelings about frats. On one hand, it segregates all of those people in one place so everyone else can avoid them (convenience factor). On the other hand, the obnoxious behavior gets reinforced, making them that much less pleasant to deal with. And the networking that happens, reinforcing the status quo.
