Crazy lady gets talk show

Food Network personality Rachael Ray has signed a deal with Oprah Winfrey's production company to host a daytime syndicated talk show targeted to launch in fall 2006.

Okay, finally someone interesting gets a talk show instead of merely the insipid, infuriating and irrelevant.

Oh, I've always liked 'er. Not sure why. No, she's no Alton Brown, granted. But she's always had a place in my heart.

And if you're going into a field populated with the like of Sharon Osborne, Tony Danza and Dr. Phil, how bad can you be and still be the best?
