AFI can be pretty hit-and-miss when it comes to their all-encompassing "Top 100 Movies In Which the Main Character Must Avoid Being Eaten" or such lists, but their yearly top-10 lists have more hits than misses, it seems....

Aaah. ok. I thought you generally liked the show, so I was a bit confused. However, I pretty much agree with everything you've said. I wasn't as aware of the writing. As far as that Superman script goes, I read a summary of it. And yeh, it was mighteh scareh. BUT, having seen Kevin Smith's rant on working with one of the producers (the hairdresser guy), I'm wondering if anyone could've turned out a good script under the circumstances.("It's gotta have a giant spider! I need a Chewbacca!" etc etc.)I hope someone finally did.
Seems I heard a podcast on Lost wherein Lindeloff and erm.. someone...basically equated writing the show with a journey. As in they know generally where they are going, but not all the details. I suppose time will tell.
And yeah, I hate Ana. I can't think of anything that the writers could do to get me to like her. Cold blooded murder is still cold blooded murder. Having said that, I also hate Kate. In fact, I think what she did was worse, because I have *no idea* why she did it. Honestly, her reason made no sense. Sawyer's self-loathing is more sensible than Kate's. And Ana, well, the guy had been caught, so letting him go just so she could kill him...evil. Starting to think that the Others never kidnapped the FrontEnders (except Turniphead) because they are all evil. Or shallow. Or too heavy.
