I admire your dedication -- I figured we had a chance, which is more than we've had for the last decade and a half (sob). Hey, maybe we'll finally beat KU in Bramlage. Sigh. I miss games in Ahearn.
I didn't bet...but I was one of the few sports writers after last year, and especially after Nebraska on Wednesday who thought we were going to come in and show KU how it's done.
We sure didn't do it first half...and KU thought they had it in the bag and let their guard down. Ha. HAHAHAHA.
My mom has told me all about the times they played in Ahearn (she's even older...she was there when the basketball team amassed all of those awards that are up in Bramlage now) and it sounds like such an awesome atmosphere. Just for kicks, they should do a basketball game in Ahearn, just for the older generations.
I wish I could find someone who remembers the days of them playing basketball in NicholsHall. That musta been somethin'....
But yeah, just one game every few years in Ahearn would be a treat, if it's still capable of it. That would be awesome. I'd go to that; it's a lot more intimate and emotional than Bramlage, I think.
My dad remembers the fire but not a game in there. He has the same thoughts about Bramlage too. I think he has tickets to the KU game. Beating them in Bramlage would be great.
