I vote we skip the rest of the playoffs and just jump to training camp. Right now.

Also, LJ, feel free to wake your servers the hell back up.

If the Bears lose, that means that both of the teams that I picked to be in the Super Bowl will NOT be in the Super Bowl.

I suck.

Well, the Bears are playing better than the Colts were in the first half, but honestly, that ain't hard.

I don't think anyone can fault you for picking the Colts, though. I've seen teams get locked in the locker room and have better first halves. And hey, if you're kicking a 50-yard field goal from the middle of the field, you have a margin of error of only 3.3455 degrees. Five degrees to either direction and you get nothin' but goalpost.... Even as badly as they played, they still shoulda won.

But the Seagulls are winning. Clearly it is a sign of the apocalypse. I'm rooting for them because my parents are enjoying their season tickets so much.

The Seabirds have the distinction of never having gone to the big game, so yeah, they're my new favorite team to win it. And they don't act entitled, unlike the remaining AFC teams. Looks like I'm rooting for the NFC this year.

After Saturday, I can't disagree more. I didn't sleep well last night.

However liquored-up kicker Vanderjerk missing almost makes me willing to watch SportsCenter again (which I wasn't planning to do until sometime around the draft). I was so very, very amused.

Well, while my first choice would've been a Patriots three-peat, I'll now piss off most everyone who still has an opinion on my friends list and state that I hope the Panthers go all the way. Will make for an interesting Super Bowl pretty much any way it comes out though, since it'll feature a relatively new team that at best has only been there once against a multiple SB winning old school franchise.

The only solace I take in this is what it does to some smug ESPN radio host. On Friday, someone was sitting in for the Sportsbash show and went on and on about the great Patriots-Colts match-up next weekend. It was going to be the Superbowl, not the Superbowl game. It was the match-up people had been waiting for all season long. And on and on he went. At the end he had a small caveat that both teams had to get through their next games, but for him the Patriots and Colts were going to meet this weekend.
