President Bush will speak Monday at Kansas State University as part of its Landon Lecture series.

Torn. Go or don't go?

Ooh, good point. Guess someone's gotta stay behind and man the fort, then.

You should go. When will you get another chance to hear *unedited* blathering?

I would go, but there's no way I'll be allowed to get off work to go stand in line for a ticket with all the meetings I have.

Grr!

You look HAWT today so it'd be a good day for the ID... *pokes you*

I say go. You will be able to tell your grandchildren you saw pure evil in person. I also like the unedited concept.

I want a complete review.

Hell, I dated her.

I'm trying to work out which her we're talking about.

Thank God we don't have to have a dinner for him, too... the Secret Service were certainly boot my out of the office at that point.

Can't go. Must go to class. Must resist skipping class so early in the semester.

However, one class is offering extra credit for going and reviewing the lecture.

BAH! We don't get a lot of chances to see a current president in this crappy state that we live in (did they even come to Kansas before the 2004 elections? Any of the candidates?) but I'm so conflicted.....

They did, and they came on the same day, oddly enough, to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Brown vs. Board.

Of course, if you want to point out the appropriateness (or lack thereof) of someone who lambastes "judicial activism" and does his best to perpetuate social inequalities to be celebrating a landmark case of civil rights, be my guest, but far be it for me to do so.

Sorry. I'm snippy.

You should go with some mocking clothes. See if you can get kicked out by the Secret Service for exercising your first amendment rights, and laugh even harder when Bush talking about how he's not ignoring our civil liberties. Maybe a shirt/sign calling him a "Butcherer."
