The NFL unveils some 2006 schedule highlights. Two bits of awesomeness:
-- A Monday night doubleheader (!!) on Sept. 11 (...?), Vikings at Washington the early game, Raiders at Bolts the late (starts at 10:15 Eastern!).
-- A Thanksgiving tripleheader, as the Chefs join the traditional Lions and Cowboys as Turkey-Day hosts, hosting (respectively) Denver, Miami and Tampa Bay. The bad news? Broncs-Chefs game is on NFL Network only. What the hell?
Two steps forward, one back. Meh. At least I know which icon to use.

I miss Martin Gramatica (and I miss teasing one of our copy-editors about her quasi-romance with the excitable kicking man). But all hail the Colts for jumping Vanderjerk. "Idiot kicker" personified. Well, not as bad as Sebastian Janikowski, but any civilized country would put him behind bars.
I concur, though -- even sans the Edge, how can you not like the Colts next year?
