Um, yeah! What was up with that? Had I had a vague idea of what was coming, I could have prepared myself to be much quieter and not disturb the entire Super 8.
You know what I like about Lost? Don't bother watching the first 58 minutes. Just tune in for the last two and you're pretty much guaranteed to catch the whole forward movement of the season-long arc.
And Michael held the title of My Favorite Person on the Island for a record-short two seconds.
Two of the significant additions to the cast got shot in the last minute. By a newly-returned supposed ally. Without warning or explanation.
Interestingly, they're played by the same actressed who got DUIs in Hawaii. Coincidence? (Though Cynthia Watros has a recurring role in a fall series, so it's not a huge surprise. And Michelle Rodriguez's character was almost universally despised. Still.)
Something I'm beginning to think Gilmore Girls could learn from.
There was a rumor on one of the other of the Lost forums a couple of months back (around the time the DUIs happened) that Anna Lunacia was being too difficult to work with, and therefore the writers were going to kill her off. As I recall, the producers shut that rumor down really quickly saying the *story* was paramount, or words to that effect.
Personally, I can't believe how gullible some of the characters still are...did Locke actually believe what Henry told him in private? Did Jack believe Michael's "we can take 'em" speech? How does Sawyer keep getting conned by the ladies when he's a *con man*?!?!
My favorite part, though, was a "Free to Be...You and Me" flashback when Sawyer said "Hands off MY mangoes".

I'm just glad that wasn't a euphemism.
I'd heard that Ana-L was being offed, but I guess I'd forgotten it -- Lost's kinda been back-burner to me for a while, amid House, 24 and discovering Doctor Who.
Still, I'm glad something happened this episode. I do hope it leads to Michael being throttled to death by Hurley, but still, at least it's progress.
