One pint down, eight to go

...and sadly, I'm not talking about drinking. 'Cause at 9 am, that'd be keen.

So I schedule a periodontic cleaning for 7:30 am, which means leaving home at 6:30 am (and getting there with two minutes to spare thanks to going sub-Mach speeds on the Interstate), which means getting up at 6:15 am. Thankfully beeform made some truly boffo coffee to get me there fully awake, and upon reflection I doubt I'll ever try to use the word "boffo" again.

The cleaning went well, aside from the fact that the anaesthetic didn't ("My gums! The topical does nothing!"), and that I bled like a...hrm. Maybe I'll come back and finish that analogy later. Maybe not. Let's just say "a lot" and leave it at that. And I have surgery to look forward to next Thursday. Joy.

The bad news is it's crunch-time at work with our mammoth project nearing completion at the end of the month. The good news is my part's essentially done. So w00t for me. I shall eat pretzels and salad now.

And may I register a formal complaint that having to log in to CJO to read *ANYTHING* is a pain in the ass? (Put it this way....it irks me enough that I won't do it and thus go find news elsewhere....) Just thought I'd share.... *snerk*
