...Dad's doing better, "better" of course being a relative term. My aunt talked to the chopper pilots -- no ambulance for him, he got choppered straight from the scene -- and they had no idea how someone could've lived through what they'd seen. Well, yeah, that's him. Of course, he's missing the top two layers of skin, now, so that's not exactly invulnerability. And he's on a morphine drip, so while I've got his number, you know, I don't wanna call and spoil that kind of buzz. He did say he's in more pain than he's ever been in his whole life, and honestly, that's saying something.

And I battled my router all night last night -- and into this morning -- and apparently have fried the firmware to the point where it won't update or even hard reset. Which is something of a problem. I'll take it back as soon as I get a good nap....

I'm glad to hear your father is hanging in there. Morphine is good. My dad loves that stuff. I remember after heart surgery or something he was on a morphine drip and the preacher came to see him (you know how Dad is about organized religion, right?). He told the preacher he was glad to see him and that pastor brightened right up. You could tell he thought this was the day to convert my father. My dad's next sentence took all the wind out of his sails, though. "Although, as good as I'm feeling right now, I'd probably be glad to see the IRS man!"

I hope you can fix your computer problems. Sounds frustrating. I'll be glad when Chris and I get my PC set up. He's probably getting tired of sharing with me. :)

Hang in there and have a good weekend.
