BSG: Bring the pain

You know, ditch "And they have a plan" (because, seriously, either that's a lie or the Cylons have a really awful plan) -- the theme of Battlestar Galactica should really be "And then, things got worse." Especially compared to the original series, this show just...sucks the life right out of you sometimes, doesn't it? First the apocalypse, and then things go downhill from there.... Only two genuinely jubilant moments in the show's run -- finding the map on Kobol, escaping New Caprica, and even those had plenty of profound suffering in the periphery.

I really don't think BSG should be on Sunday nights. This is a mid-week show. I can't get up and go to work after watching this show. I need a palate-cleanser, something to heal my psyche. The Office -- now there's a good Sunday show. Hrm. There's no mistaking Michael Scott for someone who has a plan. But a whole series of Pam Beeslys? ...Hrm.

No, no spoilers for next week. Okay, maybe just one.

Oh, the Cylons have a plan.

They just haven't told the writers yet...

And you touched upon why this show isn't quite up there amongst my favourites. I like it, but damn it's dreary. Ok, sure, the human race is on the verge of extinction, but still! ;)

I figured it was only a spoiler if you knew what it was already. So it's a no-spoiler, I guess.

Still, you wonder if any of the main characters will actually be talking to each other by the time S4 rolls around....

And would you believe I can't find a decent Cylon skin/mesh for Sims 2?

The spoiler was nicely subtle. Of course, I read spoilers because I'm years behind (As far as BSG goes), and innately curious. I gotta look to see what's going on and what everyone is grumbling about. ;)

As for the Sims, just say your characters are Cylons! They're the Mystery Five!

What do you mean? It's been a real pick-me-up since they introduced Romo Lamkin. I mean, the show finally has a truly likable character...

He'll probably get shot/blown up/spaced/cancer, then I'll be bummed out.

I'm starting to be just paranoid enough to think that the Cylons' plan is to drive me insane by their inconsistencies and lack of making any bloody sense in their overall actions. If anything, they don't have "a" plan; they've got 457 plans, which they pull out one at random every so often and switch to.
