Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the Comedian? ...Perfect, actually. I was always thinking Burt Reynolds, but this'll work.
R-rated? Yuss. Set in 1985? Good; the Cold War was integral to the atmosphere, and while you could shoehorn the script into modern times, why break it?
They are keeping Mars and Antarctica, then? Excellent. And the Tales of the Black Freighter? Using the original pages as storyboards?
*whimper*
The deal-breaker here, for me, is the ending. As Valerie's note was in V for Vendetta, so the ending is here: lose it and lose the movie. Keep it -- both the execution of the plan and Rorschach's decision -- and this could be quite the little flick. But probably nowhere near as popular as V, given the end; can't imagine anyone would want to see it twice....
