Seriously, I'm sure there's a nugget of a good idea underneath the new tagging features SixApart has unveiled. But even setting aside 6A's abysmal track record in public relations, I'm even more worried by just the mob mentality and how users tagging posts is going to play out (as someone asks: what's the appeals process?)....
Keep me posted. I'm going to just close my eyes and pretend nothing's happening.
Edit: how long until someone makes a bot to spider LJ and flag random entries? And in a possibly related question, how much caffeine have I ingested today?

I... uh... honestly can't see a problem with that. Am I missing something?

That does take the sting off. I do still worry about the amorphous definitions of some of the flag settings (illegal where? how offensive?) but it's beginning to gel in my mind a bit better now. It's been a...chaotic night.
As ever, you're a voice of reason. Are you sure you're in fandom?

As for fandom, I've been a member of Fandom Wank for like 4 years now. If any site gives an idea of what *not* to do, that's it. ;) It's oddly rational... in its own way...
