Week 3: Not a win, but we'll take it

Our long national nightmare is over -- the Manhattan PrettyBirds cannot go 0-16 this year. 0-15-1 is not out of the question, though. Sean Taylor only got three fantasy points last night, but the 'Birds picked up two more from, uhm, somewhere to bring them into a 136-136 tie with the still-unbeaten 2-0-1 Dairyland Cheeseheads. The 'Birds are still Nuffle cellar-dwellers, but next week they take on the sixth-ranked Honolulu Harem, and I like those odds.

Hey, the 'Birds have a better record than the Chiefs right now. It hurts, I know.

Weekend was great until Sunday. Adding insult to injury was the fact that my starting quarterback and one of my starting running backs had BYES this week and I still only lost to Brent by 6 points.

Monday wasn't much better.

Today ... eh. It's getting there.

Yeah, but at least you've got a bye for an excuse. The 'Birds just aren't that good this year. My "hunt down all the rookies" plan didn't really fly (Kellen Winslow -- I'm ticked off that he was on my team, but, y'know, I really don't like him).

And now, well, the long national nightmare's continuing after the Nuffle recount du jour. Gah. Stupid Cheese. Dammit, LaDanian.
